REQUEST

A popular product in business and education facilitates group communication with computer, projector and interactive whiteboard. Rolco was asked to help perfect a new model for this long-time customer, one in which whiteboard and top-mounted projector are delivered as a single unit. The customer’s engineers knew what they wanted, but didn’t know how to make it happen. They turned to Rolco for design and production.

WHAT WE DID

After design collaboration with the customer, Rolco produced a multishot part with a soft elastomer bumper that protects the projector as it is pulled back and forth. Rolco printed the customer’s logo on the part and provided some assembly services. Technically-challenging production was completed under tight deadlines.

RESULT

The customer is now selling an advanced and highly functional product that keeps the projector safely out of reach, eliminates obstacles to viewing, and makes it impossible to walk through a projection.

ADDED VALUE

For design and production continuity, Rolco is also producing four single shot components for the same product.
