News: Capabilities Overview Video

Kasota, MN (May 13, 2010) -- The action of rotary platen molds introduces Rolco Inc.'s new video highlighting capabilities in Multishot Injection Molding.  You can watch the video on our web site or on YouTube.

Although the multishot manufacturing process is becoming better known, Rolco still finds that many design engineers are not familiar with this technology.

"If engineers don't know about multishot, they can't design for it," says Brian Olson, President.  "A large part of our sales process is providing education and we are developing resources to help with this."

These Resources include a previous video illustration of the multishot process and a white paper describing how different rotation mechanisms for rotary two-shot molding can provide avenues for improved product design.

"We know that these resources don't comprise a PhD course but what we're trying to do is raise awareness of the possibilities." says Olson. 

"We have seen this introductory education spark ideas that have led to design breakthroughs for our customers.  As a result, they have been able to introduce new products to the marketplace that have positioned their companies on the leading edge of their industries."
