FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE www.rolcoinc.com Rolco adds depth to Engineering and Technology department while internal operations are led by new General Manager Kasota, MN (February 16, 2009) -- The Engineering and Technology capabilities at Rolco Inc. have become stronger with new staff and fresh focus. Vince Dutt, Engineering Manager oversees this expanded department while continuing to work with customers on new projects. Derek Kness, Project Engineer, focuses on designing for multishot. Skilled in CAD design, Derek collaborates with customers to improve their products by combining two parts into one. Selection of suitable materials and mold design are paramount to multishot success, and Vince and Derek partner closely with our suppliers to present materials and tooling options that accomplish goals for fit and function of the finished part. Eric Woestehoff, Quality Engineer, has already made strides in continuous improvement.. Under Eric’s direction, the quality department staff of inspectors and technicians have undergone additional training to enhance their effectiveness. The Quality department is also finding more opportunities to utilize statistical analysis to boost the consistency of quality processes. Tom Loken, Engineering Quality Technician, is now facilitating the smooth transition of new projects from design to the manufacturing floor. His detailed attention to the creation of Control Plans for each part assure that everyone involved in production is focused on customer specifications. Tom also guides the process of Failure Mode Effects Analysis to predict and solve potential problems before they happen. Steve Kubela is a name that might be familiar to you. Steve returns to Rolco as Tooling Engineer to oversee all aspects of tooling. He will be working directly with toolmakers to ensure that molds are made exactly to specifications. Steve will also oversee our in-house tool room where he will be implementing procedures that maximize maintenance and extend mold life as much as possible. Keisha Swanson’s in-depth knowledge of Rolco’s customers and her rapport with employees are just two reasons why she was recently appointed as General Manager. While still acting as customer service contact for most customers, Keisha now oversees day to day operations and overall improvement of manufacturing processes.
