Create Permanent Graphics
Without Secondary Operations

Multishot injection molding is an effective and efficient way to create permanent graphics on a product that needs to retain brand identity or important user instructions for the life of the product. (For information about permanent graphics with In-Mold Labeling IML click here.)

Because the graphics are created when two materials are bonded together in one manufacturing process, rotary two-shot molding eliminates the need for labor intensive secondary operations such as printing or the securing of labels with adhesive.  Additionally, molded-in graphics are always in the correct place so two-shot injection molding provides excellent production consistency and the lowest possible scrap rates, which minimizes your manufacturing costs.

Part design, material selection and tool design are all equally important in creating a successful multishot part that has permanent graphics. Collaboration with multishot experts at Rolco early in the design phase of your project will assure that all of these components work together. We can also help you to recognize ways to incorporate other features, such as gaskets and grip surfaces, into your part without adding an additional process or additional production costs.
